Let’s Eat Cayman Web Platform Design

MISSION

Let’s Eat Cayman needed to accelerate the launch of their online ordering platform in response to the pandemic. The goal was to create a user-friendly experience that allowed customers to browse restaurants, place orders, and track deliveries in real time. The platform also needed to support restaurant partners with sign-up and menu management, while aligning with the brand’s existing identity. This was my first major web design project and provided a valuable opportunity to build a scalable, intuitive product from the ground up.

CHALLENGE

The project required balancing multiple user types and functionality. For customers, the platform needed to support seamless ordering, intuitive navigation, real-time tracking, and food item filtering. For restaurants, it had to provide simple sign-up flows and editable menu options. From a UI standpoint, I needed to create a standout interface that reflected the brand’s energy and trustworthiness while remaining clean and accessible. Integrating a live chat feature for customer support added an additional layer of interactivity and required thoughtful placement within the interface.

OUTCOME

The platform successfully launched and quickly became a reliable ordering solution for the community. Users praised the clean interface, ease of use, and live tracking features. Restaurants were able to register quickly and manage their offerings without confusion. The chat feature enhanced customer satisfaction and support. This project not only fulfilled urgent business and user needs during a critical time, it also served as a pivotal learning experience in my development as a designer working on complex, multi-user platforms.
