CIMA Website Redesign
MISSION
The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) needed a modernized web presence that could better serve its core users—industry professionals, job seekers, and the general public. Their existing website was difficult to navigate, lacked clear structure, and failed to support timely updates for news or careers. My mission was to lead a design initiative that made the site easier to use, aligned with CIMA’s professional brand, and addressed critical usability concerns revealed through survey feedback.

CHALLENGE
Survey insights highlighted several key issues: users found it hard to locate information, the site’s navigation felt disorganized, and there was no clear way to stay updated. The absence of a structured information architecture compounded user frustration. My challenge was to design an interface that simplified navigation, introduced a content structure that made sense to both technical and general users, and created engagement points through news, careers, and email subscriptions—all while maintaining the credibility and professionalism of a financial regulatory body.

OUTCOME
The final design delivered a refreshed interface with streamlined navigation, stronger visual hierarchy, and enhanced content discoverability. Dedicated sections for News and Careers were introduced, including job listings, testimonials, and scholarship opportunities—all wrapped in a user-friendly layout. A robust email sign-up feature was added to keep users informed. The redesign led to a noticeable increase in satisfaction, engagement, and repeat visits, earning positive feedback for both usability and clarity. This project reflected the value of a user-centered approach in modernizing an essential institutional platform.
